What is Forced DPF Regeneration?
- Forced Regen is a process that burns away excess soot that has accumulated inside your DPF System (Diesel Particulate Filter).
- A diagnostic scan tool is required to perform the regeneration process.
- The process resets the soot accumulation levels calculated by the ECM.
- A forced regen is the highest level of DPF regeneration.
Forced Regen is typically required after replacement of a DPF diffferential pressure sensor or NOx Sensor.
